I have loved using wordpress. But….. Im having issues with loading pics, etc. so with sadness, i am switching blogs. i will be using blogspot most likely.

Closing my store, loving my family October 3, 2008
I made the decision to close my ebay online store. I loved having it, but it was taking alot of time. I was sitting at the computer or scrounging around finding great books or preparing to ship things or shipping them. I love my babies, and i was taking to much time away from them. I have alot on my plate, with a child who has a chronic illness and is starting iv’s every two weeks , i have a child who has autism and is going to begin therapy twice a week at least, i have a four year old who is going through a seperation anxiety phase, and i homeschool them and want to do my best to be a good mommy. plus i have a hunky hubby who needs my help to run this family! So, with sadness, I close my store and sell all my inventory! ( if you are interested, i can give you a link to it LOL) now, i can go outside and watch my kids ride their bikes and play in the autumn sunshine. This is what life is all about.

A day at nana’s September 30, 2008
We spent the day at my mom’s. It was a nice lazy kind of day, full of playing outside, inside, all kinds of imaginary games ( something about captain pizza pickles??) and lots of decorating pictures and playing barbies and everything else! I worked on organizing her upstairs, did the dishes, made them dinner and swept up the floors. Felt kind of bad for not doing more, but im pooped out. I have been working non stop on trying to get the preschool / daycare curriculum written and books listed on my store, etc and of course doing school with the kids, etc. Im just so tired tonight. Im glad it is night time LOL. of course it is only 6:30 pm, rofl.
A couple cute things, sydney asked mom what kind of ice cream blizzard she wanted ( she was playing waitress) and my mom said a pecan turtle blizzard, and sydney said ” im sorry nana , we dont serve animals here.” how cute is that!
My kids have been so silly and cute and funny lately. I just adore them to pieces. I am so lucky.
My grandpa went to the dr today. I am soooo happy because he is seeing my oncologist in quincy whom i LOOOOOVEE and my grandparents really really liked him too. He told them that he was going to treat grandpa just like it was his father, he wanted him to start chemo, to have some tests done adn to try and stay positive. The cancer is very aggressive and not curable, but they will try to treat it. So we pray. I love my dr and trust him very much, so that is a good thing.

Health and Manners- Table Setting, used charts to practice setting the table, and tonight they have a responsibility to set the table for dinner, using their charts. We read pages 58-59 of Health, Safety, and Manners Reader 1 and checked off ” using proper table manners” in their little keepers of the home and little contenders of the faith notebooks.
Scriptures– 2 Nephi Chapter 4 Verses15-21. Dylan read them from his book of mormon reader, and we discussed page 53 in our book of mormon family study book. We also discussed Psalms, and how we are reading Nephis Psalm, and at bedtime we have been reading the Psalms from the Bible. We talked about how the Psalms are alot like a song or hymn of praise, etc. We each named our favorite hymn and we are looking forward to continuing to read the Psalms tonight at bedtime.
Copywork- Dylan wrote ” Home can be a heaven on earth.” this is what he has been doing for the past week. We will begin a new copywork tomorrow.
Dylan Spelling– Bob Jones University, Spelling unit 4, day 4, He wrote in his journal about the colors of fall and how he likes the orange leaves the best, then he wrote each of his spelling words out.
Science– Sydney did Abeka 1st grade pages 14-15, my eyes. Dylan did pages 6-7 review in his new third grade abeka science book and completed all of the memory questions perfectly!
History– Dylan and Sydney worked on Abeka History 1- Pages 19-20 on the Statue of LIberty, a symbol of our country. They did the question perfectly!
Piano– Dylan practiced his two songs, using the metronome and he also practiced his scales using both left and right hands. 
Theme work– This afternoon we will be reading from our theme tub from the library, folktales and fairytales. Fun!
Right now, the girls are playing quietly in their rooms and Dylan is playing not so quietly in the playroom, building something out of wood and nails. He wants to be a builder when he grows up He loves it.
Count Your Blessings.. September 29, 2008
When upon lifes billows you are tempest tossed,
when you are discouraged thinking all is lost,
count your many blessings name them one by one
and you will remember what the lord has done.
This is from a hymn sung at our church. We have had many hardships this year and basically the 8 years that we have been married. This year has been a particularly hard year, and with the economy so bad and going through some of the financial hardships, etc I decided that I needed to teach my children to count their blessings. This morning during school, we took a few minutes, to count our blessings. Just off the top of our heads, in about two minutes, we had come up with 63 blessings. That is alot. I know we could have come up with a million blessings if we had time, but I am so proud of my children that they at least came up with 63 in a couple of minutes. When we are feeling sorry for ourselves this week, we are going to remind each other to ” count your blessings!” and i think it will help us to keep a smile on our face.

Marlee informed me this morning that she wants to get her tooth pierced. Is that even possible??????? OUCH!
This week we will be pretty busy. School, school and more school and then on wednesday we have to go to quincy to the library and for a playdate and then im going to stop by a friend of mines house who is pregnant and on bedrest and cheer her up with some books, nail polish and dinner! Thursday im hoping to have the car again and we can go to grandma and grandpa’s house and spend some time with them. Im going to take my computer and just have grandpa talk. I want stories, i want his advice, i want him basically. This is so hard to watch him get weaker and weaker and to wonder if this is the end. We have had so much death this year. I dont believe it is over either. Francy, Moses, our puppy, my grandpa will most likely be next and we are praying that keiths grandma will become stronger somehow. Plus we always worry about my mom and keiths dad, they both have lots of health issues. Just alot of death to go through. I am so thankful that we believe in the gospel and that i have tried hard to teach my children that we will see them again one day. My kids are so mature about death, I am very blessed for that.
Now….. back to marlee and her pierced tooth. I told her, Marlee darling, I dont think they will pierce your baby teeth- they will just fall out. She seemed satisfied with that answer. Once again, can i just say—- is it even possible??????? GROSS!!
A Hair Cutting. Yup. The Kids did it. September 27, 2008
This morning I was getting out of the bathtub and combing my hair when sydney came in and said, mommy your hair is so beautiful…. so i said to her as I looked at her: ” Sydney your hair is sooooooooo SYDNEY DID YOU CUT YOUR HAIR???????” She looked at me innocently and said, No Dylan did it. So off to find Dylan, who said, Yes, I needed a “lock of hair” for my new invention in my lab. Umm….. couldnt you have used a doll’s hair or talked to mommy about it before you gave your SISTER BANGS????????????
Sheesh. The little booger got the scissors from the school shelf, and he was “just getting a lock of human hair for my invention.” KIDS!!!! I SWEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At least it doesnt look bad. It actually looks fine. But good grief. A lock of human hair???
